About this template
A raw, black-and-white link page. A bordered box with an inverted header strip reading "INDEX / LINKS — [ONLINE]", a square greyscale photo beside your name in large Times capitals, a // tagline in red, and a dashed rule above the intro. The links are numbered rows — 01, 02, 03 — in bold uppercase monospace that invert to white-on-black when hovered. Below them a "Recent work (fig. 1–4)" grid of greyscale images that come back to colour on hover, and a footer with a copy-link button. Dark mode flips the whole thing to white on black.
Who it is for. Developers, artists, writers and studios who want a page that looks hand-built, and anyone tired of rounded corners. It uses only system fonts, so it loads with nothing from outside and looks intentionally different on every machine.
What you change. Name, tagline, intro, photo, the three links and the four images are in config.js, one line each. The accent colour (the red) and the rule thickness are two variables at the top of styles.css; the header strip text is a content line in the same file. Adding a link is copying one row in index.html — the numbering is automatic.
Why host it. Four files, no webfonts, no scripts beyond the one that fills in your details: it is about as small as a page gets, and it lives at your-name.99helpers.site with nothing added on top. Republish by dropping the folder in again.

Questions about this template
- Can I change the header strip text?
- Yes. It is a single content line for .card::before near the top of styles.css. Type whatever you like between the quotes.
- Why are the photos black and white?
- A CSS filter greys them out and removes it on hover. Delete the two filter lines in styles.css to show them in colour all the time.
- Does it need any fonts or libraries?
- No. It uses the monospace and serif fonts already on the visitor's device and has no dependencies at all.
- Is the brutalist link page template free?
- Yes. Copying it, giving it an address and sharing the link costs nothing. You create an account at the moment you publish — that's the only step that needs one.
- Do I keep the copy if the template changes later?
- Yes. Your copy is independent from the moment it's made. If we improve the template afterwards, your site stays exactly as you published it until you change it yourself.
- How do I edit the site after publishing?
- Open your copy, save it (the folder with all its files), edit it in any text editor, and publish it again to the same address. The old version is kept, so you can put it back in a click.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Your copy gets an address on 99helpers.site. That's a short, permanent link you can put anywhere. If you need it on your own domain, publish the files there with any static host — the template is plain HTML and has no dependency on us.
- Can I make it private?
- Yes. Set a password when you publish and visitors are asked for it before they see anything. Protected sites are also kept out of search results.
- What are the AI features?
- Once a site is live you can add a help bot that answers visitors' questions from its content, a searchable help centre, or a feedback form — without touching the site itself. They're optional and switched on from your dashboard.
