Questions
Choosing a host
What's the easiest way to put a website online?
If it's a file, an HTML page or a built static site, drop it on 99helpers: there's no git, build settings or server to set up, and it's live at its own address in seconds.
Where should I host a Next.js app?
A Next.js app with API routes or server rendering needs a host that runs server code, such as Vercel. A Next.js static export (output: "export") is plain files, so any static host works, including 99helpers.
Can I host a site for free?
Yes. 99helpers, GitHub Pages, Netlify, Vercel's Hobby plan, Cloudflare Pages and Render all have free options, each with its own limits. The finder shows which fit what you have.
Can I password-protect a static website?
On 99helpers, yes: turn on a password for the site and visitors see a password screen first. On most git-based hosts, password protection is part of a paid plan.
How do you decide which host comes first?
By plain rules: whether the host can run what you have, what you need from it, and how you like to work. Hosts that can't run your project, or lack something you need, are left out with the reason.
Or skip the setup
