What is AI Chat with Your Document & Data?
AI Chat with Your Document & Data lets you upload any file — PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or plain text — and have a real conversation with an AI about its contents. Instead of reading through every page yourself, ask questions in plain English and get instant, accurate answers drawn directly from your file.
It works like a knowledgeable assistant who has read your document and is ready to summarise, extract facts, answer questions, or highlight the sections that matter most — all on demand.
What can you use it for?
PDF Reports & Research
Upload a lengthy research report and ask for the methodology, key findings, statistics, or any section you need — without reading every page.
Word Documents
Drop in a DOCX contract, proposal, or policy and ask plain-English questions. Get clear answers about what the document actually says.
Excel Spreadsheets
Upload a spreadsheet and ask for totals, trends, outliers, or summaries across sheets. Turn rows of data into readable insights instantly.
PowerPoint Presentations
Extract key messages, action items, and conclusions from PPTX decks without sitting through the whole slide show.
Meeting Transcripts & Notes
Paste or upload a transcript and instantly pull out decisions, action items, who said what, and follow-ups — in seconds.

How to get the best results
Choose a text-based file
The AI extracts readable text, so scanned image PDFs or image-only files won't work. Use a native PDF or a Word/Excel document with actual text.
Start with a summary
Ask "Summarise this document" first to get the big picture, then drill into specific sections with follow-up questions.
Be specific in your questions
Instead of "what does this say?", try "what are the three main recommendations?" or "what revenue figures are mentioned?"
Use follow-up questions
Build on previous answers — ask "tell me more about the second point" or "what evidence supports that claim?"
Request structured output
Ask for bullet points, numbered lists, or tables: "List all action items as bullet points" or "Summarise in 3 sentences".
Frequently Asked Questions
What file types are supported?
PDF, Word (DOCX, DOC), Excel (XLSX, XLS), PowerPoint (PPTX, PPT), plain text (TXT), Markdown (MD), HTML, and CSS files.
What is the file size limit?
Up to 4 MB per file. For most documents this is more than enough — a 4 MB PDF typically contains tens of thousands of words.
How much text can the AI process?
Up to 50,000 characters of extracted text (roughly 7,500–10,000 words). If your document is longer, the first 50,000 characters are used and you'll see a notice.
Does the AI answer from the document or from general knowledge?
Only from your document. If the answer isn't in the file, the AI will say so clearly rather than guessing.
Is my document stored or shared?
Your document is used only to answer your questions in this session. Only a short snippet is stored for quality purposes — the full file is never retained.
Can I ask follow-up questions?
Yes — the tool keeps the full conversation history during your session, so you can drill into previous answers and build naturally on the conversation.
Do I need an account?
No. This tool is completely free and requires no sign-up or credit card.
