Why you might not want to leave it there
Gamma builds a good-looking deck in minutes and shares it on a gamma.app link, which works well while you're still changing it. Once the deck is final (a proposal, an investor update, a course, a job application) you may want a link that names you rather than the tool, keeps working whatever plan you're on, and can sit behind a password.

Opens in any browser on a page with the deck, an Open button and a Download button. Fonts and layout stay put. Animations and embedded videos become still slides.
For people who need to edit
Browsers can't show PowerPoint files, so this one downloads. Publish it at its own address, like my-deck-editable, for the client who wants to change it.
One slide as an image
Good for a single slide in a chat or a post. For a whole deck the PDF is easier to flip through.

Putting Gamma output online

Export from Gamma
Open Share, then Export, and choose PDF. Lower the image quality if the deck is heavy on photos.

Drop it in
Drag the PDF into the box at the top of this page and pick an address that names the deck, like acme-proposal.

Share the link
Whoever opens it sees the deck in the browser, with buttons to open it full screen or download it. Add a password first if it's meant for one client.

Update it in place
When the deck changes, export again and publish to the same address. Everyone's link shows the new version.
Worth knowing
- An export is a snapshot: edits you make in Gamma afterwards only reach the hosted copy when you publish the new export.
- Exports from Gamma's free plan carry a “Made with Gamma” badge. Paid Gamma plans export without it.
- Animated transitions and embedded videos don't survive any Gamma export. Put the video's link as text on its slide instead.
- Name the address after the deck, not the date, so the same link can carry the next version.
- A deck full of photos can pass the free plan's 10 MB. Export at a lower image quality, or use Pro (up to 100 MB).
Questions
- Does Gamma export to HTML?
- No. Gamma exports PDF, PowerPoint and PNG. Its web version stays on gamma.app, or on a domain connected through Gamma's Pro plan. For a deck you host yourself, the PDF is the closest to the original.
- Will the deck open in the browser?
- Yes. The PDF shows on a page with a preview of the deck and Open and Download buttons, so viewers need neither Gamma nor an account.
- Can I password-protect it?
- Yes, on every plan. Set a password when you publish, or later from your dashboard, and visitors are asked for it before they see the deck.
- Can I update the deck after sharing the link?
- Yes. Export the new version from Gamma and publish it to the same address. The link stays the same.
- Will the “Made with Gamma” badge go away?
- No. Gamma adds the badge to the exported file on its free plan, and 99helpers shows the file as it is. Paid Gamma plans export without it.
- How big can the deck be?
- Up to 10 MB on the free plan, 25 MB on Starter and 100 MB on Pro. Image-heavy decks fit more easily when exported at a lower image quality.
- Can I host the PowerPoint version too?
- Yes. A .pptx downloads rather than opening in the browser, so publish it at its own address for the people who need to edit it.
